Nasca Aqueducts – 2000 Year Old Aqueducts of the Nazca Valley

Dipping Toes in the Nile

The preferred vehicle is a bus with 60 passengers, large 6 hours, but the night before, we were alarmed to learn that it was already sold out. We were floating against one another of these great Muslim festivals. The kind that jump onto the calendars of nowhere and independent travelers a very hard time. Try as she, my wife had no luck in flattering the crusty old driver or his assistant. The bus was full and had more tickets are sold. The bus later, it’s a start 13:00, a long way to a late arrival in Aswan was warm. It was not on our wish list.Health conditions in Egypt are raw. The public spaces are vandalized and floors are all terrible. We were pleased with the prospect of a terribly unpleasant and dangerous journey ahead of us face unhealthy. With so many people are planning a well deserved break from work, our chances on the bus 13 hours were at best questionable. The big bus in Egypt carry loads of spare parts, and their own mechanic, our concerns seemed justified. We had no choice, and 22 hours, we went through an offer of “sitting” on the floor of the bus 6 hours very comforted bed.

In Abu Simbel, we were in a small hotel room built in the five Nubian style. It was really comfortable, because we were on the periphery of a large desert. At 5:00 we went to the meeting place of the transit village. The large square open to the public square in the heart of the village was full of like-minded travelers.
